I have been creating ‘food for functions’ in the Bay for over 20 years and offer the expertise of London City and Guilds qualifications. I am a personal chef for your function.
Local is Best
Focusing on your ideas I create a one-off menu using local and seasonal produce and the fantastic seafood Northland provides. The Bay of Islands has many specialty food artisans and I like to include their products in my creations.
Your party or wedding may be ‘a rather grand affair’, el fresco, a summer buffet or an elegant barbeque. You may like brilliant combinations of ethnic foods or a more classical French style. Options include organic and vegetarian themes. And lastly but by no means least I make great cakes for any occasion!

Flavours Catering is headed by Janine Goedbloed, a European trained chef with 30 years of experience. Since finishing her apprenticeship and training in the Netherlands she travelled the world, cooking and catering in many countries. She owned and ran two restaurants in New Zealand, but her focus is now entirely on her catering business.
